Marcus Mann
Marcus Mann, Ph.D., is Assistant Professor of Sociology at Purdue University.
Mann received his Ph.D. in Sociology from Duke University. His research agenda focuses on politics, knowledge, and culture and especially how the Internet has affected their intersections. This has resulted in publications examining politicized understandings of science and scientists, political polarization and extremism on online platforms like Twitter and Reddit, and how partisan politics interacts with declines in social and institutional trust. This research has appeared in top journals like The Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences, The American Sociological Review, Social Forces, Social Problems, and more.
